How to Sign Up for USJ Club

If you want to buy tickets for Universal Studios Japan in advance, you need an USJ Club account. This guide will help you to become a member of that club. Don’t worry, it’s free and easy ^_^

Remember that you can always use the translator of Google Chrome, if that’s the browser you use.

Step 0

Acces to this website.

Step 1

Enter your email address and click the ‘Send’ button.

This email address will be your user ID for the USJ Club.

Step 2

You will get an email from USJ (sender: [email protected]) where you will find a link. Click it.

Step 3

Now you have to accept the USJ Club Terms & Conditions.

Step 4

Next, you have to fill out a form with your personal details (we will only cover the required fields, the ones with an orange dot on the left):

1. Password: from 4 to 16 characters long, you can use letters, digits and underscores.
2. Password confirmation
3. Full name.
4. Full name in katakana: you can use Google Translator. Sometimes it can be a little tricky, play a bit with your name if you get an error in this field when you send the form.
5. Prefecture: you can choose, the last option (国外 – overseas)
6. Sex: Male/Female.
7. Birthday: you must enter it in the following order: year, month and day.

You also have to check whether:

• you want to subscribe to USJ newsletter (8)
• you want to get news on your smartphone (9)
• you prefer HTML format or text format, in case you have chosen to subscribe to the USJ newsletter (10)
• you want to subscribe to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter newsletter(11)
• you have an USJ Annual Pass (12) (the first option means ‘No’, the second one means ‘Yes’)

After you have filled out the form, click the ‘Next’ button and you will get a second form.

Step 5

The second form asks for:

1. Your marital status: unmarried/married.
2. Your family members. You have to mark all the options that are right for you family members (the ones that will visit the park with you). Use a translator to find out the meaning of each option.
3. Your job. Use a translator to find out the meaning of each option.

There are also fields for the name, birthday, sex and kinship of your familiy members. It seams that childs under 3 years can enter the park for free (we are not 100% sure…)

Once you have filled out the form, click ‘Send’.

Step 6

Now you can confirm the data you have entered. Click ‘Confirm’ if all is correct.

Congratulations, you are now a member of the USJ Club! You will get an email from USJ Club welcoming you ^_^

Warning: the session expires after on hour, if you have not completed the admission process in one hour, you will have to start it over again. Don’t worry, you should be able to complete it in less than 20 minutes 🙂
